Letter 11: To the Samurai’s (From Stephen and Kacey Ripley)

Dear Samurai (that’s plural, right?),

We were reminded of you again today. Ryan was telling us, as he often does, about the importance of speaking with Dad. He encouraged us that when we do speak with him, he listens and responds “exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or even imagine.” He also reminded us about Dad’s “flying servants” that serve (even) us—just like they served our older brother Daniel! What a wonderful thought! There are many servants, working on behalf of our Dad, protecting, encouraging, or ministering to us in some form. We deeply miss meeting with y’all every week. Mr. Samurai, I miss playing foosball with you; I have no one to compete with now-and certainly no one who will bring batting gloves! We love you both and speak lovingly about you to Dad. We appreciate your example to our family so much and are glad to hear of our new brother. With growing affection and remembrance,

Stephen and Kacey Ripley
